A Good Reason for Smile

Tharpu Secondary School, approximately 325 KM far from Kathmandu situated at Kushe, Rural Municipality- 05, Jajarkot district with approximately 350 to 400 students were benefited with educational materials on January 13, 2019 with the slogan “Education for underpinning the bright future”.

Quality education, good learning environment and availability of the educational resources are the demands of the children at Jajarkot. Lack of good transportation, quality human resources and physical infrastructures are hindering the children to get their rights for holistic transformation. In such context, Neighborhood took its first step to contribute some efforts for the rights of education among the children beside the adversities and unavailability of the resources. Neighborhood Mission Nepal would like to thank all institutions and personnel who have directly and indirectly contributed for this.

Although, it took quite long time to arrange all things and materials to launch the program, we are hopeful that this has paid remarkable support among the students. We believe that when children can read, they can advocate for their rights and also can help to provide their families.

Neighborhood Mission Nepal is also striving to arrange some computers for the school in order to address the need of computer education to the students at Tharpu Secondary School as well as in the nearby schools at Jajarkot district.
